ASPPIRE provides social coaching for adults with Autism and other disabilities. Applicants must be at least 18 years old to become participants. Our social coaching program is designed to assist participants in improving their social skills through facilitator-led group sessions.

Social Coaching Sessions

Groups run 12 weeks, three times/year — Fall (Oct–Dec), Spring (Feb–Apr), Summer (June–Aug). Sessions can take form in the following ways:

  • Small Group Discussion
  • Social Community Activities
  • Content Specific Groups
  • Skill-Building Sessions
  • Other methods, depending on the needs of the participants...

Our Curriculum

Our curriculum is wide-ranging and designed to support personal growth, confidence, and independence. Topics may include:

  • Conversation skills
  • Problem solving and conflict resolution
  • Personal safety
  • Self-determination
  • Self-advocacy
  • Organizational skills
  • Coping with anxiety and stress

Topics that build real life skills.

In addition to core social skills, ASPPIRE offers enrichment topics. Programs are held both in the ASPPIRE office and at a variety of community sites. There is a reasonable fee for social coaching. However, scholarships are offered in cases of financial hardship.
